Another option to purchase a Hyundai
Posted: January 31, 2014

There are not many people that can afford to purchase a new vehicle upfront. It is near impossible to get anywhere without a car nowadays, but they are getting to be too expensive to afford. For those that cannot afford to purchase a vehicle right away, there are other options available. Many car dealerships, Crowfoot Hyundai included, offer financing. If a Hyundai is your dream car, but you cannot afford to own one, financing is a financially beneficial option for you. When you finance a car, you are requesting a loan to pay for the car initially, and you agree to pay the loan back with monthly or bi-weekly payments. Before walking into Crowfoot Hyundai to apply for financing, there are a few things you can do to prepare yourself.

  • Checking your credit score should be the very first thing you do. Your credit score will play a huge role in determining whether or not you are even eligible for a loan, and what your interest rate would be. If you have a good credit score, you have nothing to worry about. When you go to apply for financing, you should bring your driver's license and insurance card with you. If you have a bad credit score,  this is a different story. A bad credit score can happen very easily and very quickly. A forgotten payment, a lost document, or even a misspelled name on your credit report can have dire consequences. It is important to request your credit score at least once a year. If you happen to have a bad credit score, in addition to the previous mentioned documents, you will also need to provide pay stubs, a list of references who do not live with you that can vouch for your current income, and residency proof, like a utility bill. This is just to ensure that you are still a reliable candidate for financing. These requirements will vary between different dealerships, but the Finance Managers at Crowfoot Hyundai, Mark Trussler and Lana Kendrick are available to answer any questions you may have.
  • Creating a budget for yourself before even setting foot into Crowfoot Hyundai is also a beneficial idea. In this budget, it is important to factor in a few things: how much you can initially spend, how much you can afford to give monthly, how long it will take you to pay off the loan, and how much money you have left over for insurance and registration. Factor in how much of a down payment you can put down and how much you can afford to pay monthly based on your income. Don't bite off more than you can chew. Preparing a budget beforehand can help relieve some stress.
  • Your personal information will also be needed in a finance application. It will vary between dealerships, so the financial advisers are more than available to let you know what personal information will be needed from you. As much as we can find everything over the internet, there are some things that professionals are better suited for. The Financial Managers at Crowfoot Hyundai have all the skills and knowledge to give you the best possible finance rate. Feel free to contact them for any of your finance needs.

Things to know before you go
Posted: January 29, 2014

Though an exciting experience, buying your first car should not be something you just decide to do when you wake up in the morning. There are many things to think about before purchasing a new or used Hyundai, and there are many things to do before walking into Crowfoot Hyundai. Aside from creating a budget, deciding when to buy and figuring out exactly what you want in a vehicle, there are a few other things to take into consideration.

  1. One of the first things you should do is check your credit history. If you cannot afford to pay for your new or used Hyundai upfront, you can apply for a loan instead. This will allow you to enjoy all the wonderful things about a Hyundai, for bi-weekly or monthly payments. Though there are some financial institutions that are an exception, if you have a poor credit score, it is highly unlikely that you will be approved for the loan. The reason being that you have shown that you are unreliable when it comes to returning borrowed money. Depending on how low your credit score is will also depend on what kind of interest rate you may have to deal with. You should request your credit report at least once a year to check for any mistakes, like a misspelled name, which can also affect your credit score.
  2. Many people wish to make an appointment with the sales manager of a car dealership before visiting. This will show that you are generally interested in purchasing a new or used vehicle. If you are planning on visiting Crowfoot Hyundai for your car purchase, Michael Sore is the man you want to meet with. Equipped with knowledge and a bright personality, Michael will have you loving your Hyundai in no time. Upon meeting Michael for the first time, I knew how dedicated he was to finding people the right vehicle that will fit their lifestyle.
  3. It may be a good idea to familiarize yourself with some parts about cars. If you are like me, cars are (well, used to be) a foreign language. The service staff at Crowfoot Hyundai is nothing short of impressive, but you will benefit yourself in the end if you have a good idea on what type of oil is the best for you car, what that grinding sound may be, or how often you should change your transmission fluid.
  4. When you make a budget for yourself when purchasing a new or used Hyundai, always remember to factor in how much you will spend on insurance and registration. Statistics show that men tend to be more reckless when driving than women, therefore the insurance rate is higher. If you are a young male looking to purchase a new car, you could blow your entire budget on the vehicle and leave yourself nothing to insure the vehicle, turning your new car into a lawn ornament.

Using these tips when thinking about buying a new or used car will make the overall experience more enjoyable and less stressful. Once you have the important items figured out, like your credit report, where to buy and how much you can afford including registration and insurance, then starts the exciting journey of searching for your dream car and test drives.

Benefits of buying a new Hyundai
Posted: January 28, 2014

New isn't necessarily always better, but this is true for the majority of things in life. If you had the choice: would you rather buy a new house or move into one  that someone else has lived in? Would you rather buy a new jacket from the store, or a jacket that a few people have worn? Would you rather buy a new car, or purchase a car that a few owners have driven before you? Chances are, you have answered 'yes' to at least one of these questions. At times, there are benefits to buying a used car, but there are also many benefits to purchasing a new car.

  • Warranty: Much like the vehicle, the warranty on a new car is also brand new. It is possible to purchase an extended warranty for your used vehicle, should the warranty not meet your standards, but the best warranty value you will ever get will be the warranty you will receive when you purchase a new vehicle.
  • Safe and not sorry: If you purchase a new vehicle, you know that the vehicle has not had any previous accidents, repairs, and wear and tear done to it. The scary reality that can sometimes happen when purchasing a used vehicle, particularly from individual owners, is that they may not necessarily let you know what damage has been done to the vehicle for fear of losing a sale. Thankfully, Crowfoot Hyundai takes pride in making sure their used vehicles are safe enough for you, but when you purchase a new vehicle, you know that this is not an issue. I have only owned used cars. My first car had a cigarette burn hole in the back seat, and my second and current vehicle had dog hair all over the floor, seats and roof. Even after a few detailing trips, I still have not been able to rid my vehicle of all the dog hair. Buying a new car ensures you that the interior, exterior, and engine bay of the vehicle will be in pristine condition, avoiding any future issues or uncomfortable smells.
  • Saving the planet: Nowadays, newer cars are built to become more fuel efficient and built to emit less. Newer models of diesel vehicles are much cleaner than older ones, and there are more hybrid options when you buy new rather than buying used.
  • Save money too: If you cannot afford to pay for a new Hyundai up front, there are some wonderful financing opportunities for you. When you finance a new vehicle, many banks will offer lower rates for a new vehicle. This is because the vehicle has not had a huge hit on the depreciation rate. The vehicle is still quite valuable. Typically, when you buy a used car, the finance rate can be between 1-2% higher than the rate for a new vehicle.
  • More gadgets: It's no surprise that the newer the vehicle, the more equipped with gadgets your vehicle will be. Many older models of used vehicles do not have Bluetooth, heated seats, or an advanced sound system as most newer vehicles do. You can also guarantee that these gadgets will work in a newer vehicle.

While the biggest benefit to purchasing a used car is saving money, it also appears that way when buying a new car. Though you don't save money on the initial purchase cost, you do save money in the long run when it comes to financing and maintenance. There is also a certain feeling of accomplishment that comes when you purchase your first new car. Since buying a new car is slightly more expensive in the beginning than buying a used car, you can feel proud driving in your new vehicle knowing that you have made enough financially to afford it.

Benefits of buying used
Posted: January 24, 2014

Among the many selections of new cars, Crowfoot Hyundai also offers an impressive selection of used cars. Why? Because buying a used car isn't a scary or terrible thing. Though buying a new car is something people strive for, there are many benefits to buying a used car.

  • You save money: This is usually the first thing people think about when they think about the benefits of a used car. There are hundreds of places for you to shop around and find the right used vehicle for the right price. If you find the right model for the right price, you can save up to thousands of dollars, even on newer models. I got my used car for a fraction of the original retail price. You have the choice to buy from individuals or dealerships. It would be wise to decide what car model you want first, then set up a budget. Remember to compare prices. Don't just jump at the first opportunity you see, but inquiring never hurt anyone. Bottom line, a used car will be significantly less expensive than a new car.
  • You skip the depreciation problem: When you purchase a new car, the car loses value the second you drive it off the lot. This value decreases from year to year. When you buy a used car, you can save up to 30% off of the original price because of depreciation. You aren't affected by depreciation as a used car owner, and you save money.
  • You get all the extras: When people buy a new car, they often spare no expense. Some people opt for heated seats, an updated A/C, or maybe a bigger sound system. The new car owner pays for all of these up front, which means that you don't have to spend the money to update the car later on.
  • You'll save even more money: Insurance rates on vehicles are affected by a number of things, including the age of the car. Insurance companies tend to give lower rates to drivers with used cars, which, again, saves you more money.
  • Better safe than sorry: It is one thing for a car salesman to tell you that the car has great mileage and fuel efficiency, but it is quite another to see it for yourself. Cars, trucks and SUVs that are built today are built to last. You should be able to get at least 100,000 miles out of your vehicle, meaning that you shouldn't worry about sacrificing quality for price when you buy used.

It seems that the biggest benefit to buying a used car is saving money. You save money on so many different areas when purchasing a used car. In the end, the decision lies with you. For many students, teenagers and young adults, buying a new car isn't really an option for financial reasons, but buying a used car doesn't mean buying a rust bucket. Particularly at Crowfoot Hyundai, all of their used cars go through an inspection before becoming available for purchase. This is done to show you that buying a used car is nothing to be ashamed of or fearful of.

Ideal for big family outings
Posted: January 17, 2014

Last night I had the most wonderful opportunity to watch my cousin play hockey with members of my family that I had not seen in a while. Family is very important to me, so when I found out the Jets would be playing against the Flames, I was ecstatic. I do not get to see my cousin, my aunt and my uncle much because they are always traveling. So it was a wonderful night spending time with them and watching him play. After the game, we had a quick visit with my cousin and headed home. My fiancé and I had originally taken the train and then met my parents at the Saddledome, along with one of my aunts and my cousin. Then my other aunt and uncle took their own car there, and a few of my other cousins had taken the train as well. Going home was a different story.  In the end, it ended up being a squishy ride home with 7 of us in the same vehicle. After ending up at my own car, I drove my cousin and my two aunts home. I drive a fairly small hatchback, so It was slightly uncomfortable for everyone in the back. Had I been driving a 2014 Hyundai Tucson, this wouldn't have happened.

The 2014 Hyundai Tucson is a great vehicle for situations like these and more for a few reasons:

  1. This SUV has very efficient gas mileage. I had to drive from Blackfoot all the way down to south of the city and had maybe used a quarter tank of gas. I'm not complaining because I would do anything for my family. I'm just glad I put gas in my car earlier that day. On the highway or through the city, the Tucson can get you anywhere easily and efficiently.
  2. Space. This SUV has more than enough space for all the things I need. With more than enough room for my 4 passengers, the Tucson allows the people in the back seat to have comfortable leg room. There's enough space for a winter emergency kit in the trunk and enough space in the back for my cousin and two aunts to feel comfortable.
  3. Safety. When my car is packed with people I care about, I am often worried about getting into an accident. I don't care if I get hurt in an accident, but I would never forgive myself if any of my family members got hurt in the process. The 2014 Tucson has 5 airbags, ignition disable, ABS brakes and traction control. The Tucson has me covered for any unforeseeable accidents.
  4. Warmth. Although it wasn't that cold last night, it was still pretty chilly and my family was a little cold waiting for my car to warm up. My car takes a fair bit of time to warm up mostly because it is older. With remote keyless entry and new technology, the new 2014 Tucson will warm up quickly enough to keep everyone nice and warm, especially with heated front seats for me and my front passenger.

The rise of Hyundai
Posted: January 15, 2014

How is it that a motor company that originated in South Korea has since become so popular all across the world?

In 1947, Chung Ju-Yung founded what was originally the Hyundai Engineering and Construction Company. 20 years later, the Hyundai Motor Company was established. As the first Korean car producer, Hyundai Motor Company has grown from small beginnings, including a partnership with Ford. In 1968, the Hyundai Motor Company, partnered with Ford Motor Company, released their first vehicle, the Cortina. Soon after this release came the exciting release of the Pony. The first car designed and built solely by Koreans, the Pony quickly became popular with all who saw it and, in 1975, became the first Hyundai that was shipped overseas. The Pony was not the first Hyundai to breach the United States border. That honor belongs to the Excel in 1986. Though the Pony and the Excel were designed and built by Korean engineers, the technology of these cars was developed from the Japanese motor company, Mitsubishi.

All of this changed with the release of the Sonata in 1988. The Hyundai Sonata was the first fully-Korean vehicle, design and technology included. It was not long afterwards that Hyundai had sold four million vehicles in 1990. Today, Hyundai is known as the fastest growing motor company. With regional operations in countries like the United States, Canada, Brazil, India, Germany, Australia and Egypt, Hyundai has been launching revolutionary vehicles, with the most innovative technology and highest of safety standards for over 40 years.

Buying your first Hyundai
Posted: January 10, 2014

Buying your first vehicle can be an exciting and intimidating experience. Most people tend to bring someone they trust around cars with them for their first time. There are lots of things to consider before buying a car, such as how much mileage and space you would ideally need in a vehicle. Buying a car, truck or SUV is a big responsibility and should not be taken lightly. Before stepping into Crowfoot Hyundai, here are some helpful tips to assist you in buying your very first Hyundai:

  • Figure out what you want: Take some time to figure out exactly what you want in a vehicle. Do you want a loud sound system? Leather seats? Bluetooth? Large trunk space? When you have determined what you would like to have in a vehicle, then you may begin researching what cars, trucks or SUVs have these features.
  • Research never hurt anyone: Buying a car is a big deal, and it would be wise to do some research before walking into the dealership. If you already have a vehicle in mind, maybe like the 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe, look up some car reviews on this vehicle and you may find that is it the best economical sports car.
  • Make a budget and stick with it: Figure out what you are willing and able to spend on your vehicle per month. Once you have determined a figure, only look at vehicle that stay within your budget. If you take a more expensive car for a test drive, you run the risk of wanting to purchase it and having to chose between eating dinner for the month and paying for the car.
  • Manage you time wisely: The best time of year to buy a vehicle from a dealership is somewhere between August and November, and late December. Why? Most dealerships want to have space for their new models, so they somehow need to get rid of their older models. It is during this time that many dealerships will advertise sales like 0% down and 0 financing.
  • Take a drive: There is no harm in going for a test drive. This is probably one of the best ways to determine whether or not the vehicle is right for you. The sales staff at Crowfoot Hyundai are always more than willing to go on a test drive with you. Take the car on both the highway and city streets, utilize different parts, such as the windshield wipers, radio, and the horn, so you can have the best possible idea of how the car drives.
  • Enjoy the experience: Buying a car is a rite of passage. Although it may seem scary, the feeling of driving off the lot in the vehicle that you have picked out is exhilarating.

This experience may be the first, but it certainly will not be the last. Once you have bought your first car, you will have a full understanding of the process and you will be prepared for your next experiences.

No worries here
Posted: January 06, 2014

Yesterday, I started doing some wedding planning. I live in Canada and I am getting married in the States so there will probably have to be a lot of traveling back and forth. The drive is about 26 hours. I've recently done it so I know it is possible. We stopped a few times for gas and only once to sleep. When the big day finally comes, I think my fiancé and I are better off driving down. It will not cost as much as flying down and we won't have to worry about any luggage getting lost. So, we'll need a vehicle that's spacious and fuel efficient, like the 2014 Hyundai Tucson SUV. The fuel efficiency on this SUV is perfect for the long 2,559 km drive. With heated front seats for the chilly times in Calgary and Great Falls, front reading lights to read the map late at night, a basic warranty of 100,000 km, and some off-road capability, I know that the 2014 Tucson will get us there safe and sound. But the many features other features of this SUV aren't what appeal to me. What I love most about the 2014 Tucson is the space! I can fit in two large suitcases, my wedding dress, the groomsmen outfits, décor, flowers, and cake necessities, and still have enough room to take a nap while my fiancé drives! Of course, we can't take all of that across the border with us, but it's comforting to know that I had to room to if I could! I'm was a bit skeptical about driving, but this SUV has everything I need and more, so why worry?

It's 2014!
Posted: January 03, 2014

My favorite part about the New Year is that it's an opportunity for new changes and new experiences. There is so much of the world to explore, and what better way to explore it than in a brand new Hyundai. Whatever your lifestyle is, Crowfoot Hyundai has a Coupe, Sedan, Hatchback or SUV to match. If one of your New Year's resolutions is to do more outdoor activities, why not take a look at the 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe. This spacious SUV has enough room for camping equipment, snowboard or ski gear, and all of your friends to join you. Or maybe you want a fuel efficient Sedan like the 2013 Hyundai Elantra in order to go on more outings with your friends. Spend a day trip in Banff without having to worry about filling up halfway to the Hot Springs. Start 2014 on a positive note. When you drive off the Crowfoot lot in your new Hyundai, you'll feel peace of mind knowing Crowfoot Hyundai has many services to keep your vehicle looking and feeling like new. Make 2014 your best year yet in a new or used Hyundai!

Tires are important too!
Posted: December 30, 2013

On her way home from a date with her boyfriend, my sister noticed that a poor old woman had a flat tire on the side of the highway. It was a blizzard outside and this woman had to be at least 60 years old. So they stopped on the side of the highway to help her. After a few hours in the snow, due to the fact that her rims were rusted onto the wheel studs and would not easily come off, she was finally on her way home. I can't help but wonder what she did a few days later. After all, she can't drive around on a spare tire for the rest of her life. Apparently her tire was in pieces. I also couldn't help but wonder how much it would cost her, if she went to her dealership, to get that repaired. I can imagine, if it was ripped to pieces, that it would be quite pricey. The only dealership that I know of that has a protection plan for this sort of thing is Crowfoot Hyundai.

Crowfoot Hyundai's Platinum Tire and Rim Protection plan covers damages to your rims and tires. If you happen to run over  a nail, a piece of glass or even a sharp rock that causes you to have a flat tire, this plan protects you. This Platinum plan  will replace your punctured tire, replace the rim if the situation calls for it, mount, balance and install your new tire.

There is nothing worse than a flat tire, this much I do know, so this protection plan  is amazing in so many ways.

Hyundai Sonata Hybrid
Posted: December 27, 2013

The 2013 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid is both sleek and innovative. There are so many amazing and wonderful features to this car. There are a few things that I look for in a vehicle before even considering taking it for a test drive. My ideal vehicle is luxurious, safe and fuel efficient. Some cool little gadgets would be a bonus, but not a requirement. Not only does the Hyundai Sonata meet all my basic requirements, but it also comes equipped with more gadgets then I know what to do with.

I had never heard of a proximity key before, but now that I have, I want one! So long as my key fob is on my person, the Sonata will recognize the fob, and unlock when I push the small button on the back of the door handle. I am constantly trying to find my car keys in my purse. This little gadget will save me so much time and effort!

The purpose of Bluetooth technology in your vehicle is so you can safely use your phone without losing focus on the road. If you are fumbling around trying to find the 'talk' button, doesn't that defeat the purpose? While most vehicles are equipped with Bluetooth technology, not many have it easily accessible on the steering wheel! The Hyundai Sonata Hybrid does, so you don't even have to take your hands off the wheel to start or end a phone conversation.

My favorite gadget about the Hyundai Sonata is the Homelink technology. I can open my garage door, turn on my house lights, and more, all with the touch of a button. When it's cold outside, I won't have to leave the sanctuary of my warm just to open my garage.

I know I said that gadgets weren't a must when I look for a new car, but I after seeing all the gadgets that the Hyundai Sonata has to offer, I may have to rethink some things.

Busy busy!
Posted: December 23, 2013

I lead a very busy life. What with starting a new job, planning a wedding, house hunting, socializing, household chores, the holidays and trying to stay active, I barely have time to sleep let alone go car shopping. As much as I need a new car, lately I've been too busy to consider it a priority. Every time I drive by Crowfoot Hyundai, I always remind myself that it's time to do some shopping, but then life gets busy again. Sometimes I think I'll never be able to go car shopping.

But Crowfoot Hyundai has found yet another solution to my otherwise hectic life. Their CarFinder tool, available conveniently on their website, will find me exactly what I'm looking for in a vehicle, right down to the odometer reading. This is a totally confidential and obligation free tool. They only need a little bit of information from me, like the make and model I'm  looking for, and they will search for those vehicles over a period of 2,4,8 or 16 weeks. I would say the whole application maybe takes 30 minutes, just enough time for me to do it while the dishwasher is running!

Ready for summer!
Posted: December 20, 2013

I'm heading down to a warm, sunny climate for the holidays this year.

I have never been more excited to get away from the snow and the cold. I don't mind winter, but summer is where my heart truly lies. One of my favorite things to do in the summer is drive. Why? When the weather is hot, I love to blast my favorite song, roll down all the windows and open my sunroof. When the weather is warm and the sun is out, I will let the Vitamin D in my car any way I can! Not only is the 2013 Hyundai Sonata fuel efficient, I can indulge in my luxury sunroof for when the weather is warm. My favorite song, the song that I can listen to everyday and never get sick of it, doesn't play on the radio, so I need a vehicle that can play my iPod. Not only does the Sonata have an MP3 decoder, but I can listen to the best song in the world through 6 speakers. Summer can't come fast enough!

Keep it looking fresh
Posted: December 18, 2013

Winter hasn't even technically begun, but I am already looking forward to spring! Probably the only thing that worries me about spring is all the gravel. Not only can gravel be as slippery as ice, but gravel also means rock chips on both my windshield and my paint! Some paint colors, like red and blue, are almost impossible to match. Little rock chips can either lead to bigger rock chips, or rust. Once you have rust, then you have a problem. Even bugs too! I remember driving to BC with my family and the front of our van was covered in squished mosquitoes. Since we were out camping, there was no place to get a car wash right away, so the bugs baked on the front of the van for a few days. When a car wash was available, it was so difficult to remove the bugs without removing the paint.

Crowfoot Hyundai offers an exclusive, patent pending technology called Nano-Fusion. This unique technology has a limited lifetime warranty, and is easy to install. As opposed to a topcoat layer, the Nano-Fusion technology instills the urethane film base. This allows the gloss to last longer, and stops the gloss from yellowing overtime.

Everything I need and more
Posted: December 16, 2013

I'm not a stay at home kind of person. I love going out and doing things. Whether I'm out shredding the mountains on my snowboard, spending a weekend camping with my friends, heading out for dinner with my family or seeing a movie with my fiancée, I need a vehicle that can easily adapt to whatever I throw its way. The 2013 Hyundai Accent  is proving to do that!

If I want to go snowboarding or go camping with my friends, I need enough room for all of my gear. If I want to host a bonfire on the beach, I need enough room for all sorts of summer goodies. If I want to go to dinner at a nice restaurant downtown, I need a fuel efficient vehicle that can get us there and back no problem. If I want to go to a movie with my fiancée, I need to have a little bit of extra spending money. This little hatchback gives me all that! I can seat up to 5 people in this fuel-efficient car, and I can feel completely comfortable knowing that this front-wheel drive car has enough safety features to keep everyone safe in the even something happens.

I love driving! I love going fast and working on some defensive driving maneuvers. Because I enjoy doing these things, my vehicle has to live up to my standards. I need something that's has great gas mileage and a strong suspension. The Hyundai Accent 5-Door fulfills all my desires and more. I've always wanted to learn how to drive a manual, and this seems like the perfect vehicle to practice on. I could potentially harm the clutch with some hard shifting while I am learning, but Crowfoot Hyundai offers a great basic warranty on the majority of their vehicles. I can repair that clutch no problem within 60 months/100,000 km of my purchase If I'm mean to the clutch in my Accent, the warranty may not cover it, but if I accidently inflict some harm onto the clutch, Crowfoot Hyundai can help me. Warranty, after all, is meant for accidents and not excessive driving . When it's time for me to purchase a new car, I know exactly what it will be!

Be smart!
Posted: December 13, 2013

A few years ago, my cousin borrowed my car. His car was being repaired and he had to get to school. I didn't need mine so I let him borrow it. A few hours passed and he came home with my car. He had a weird look on his face. He told me that he parked my car in his school parking lot, went to class, came back and found that someone had dinged my car door with theirs. There was a nice, not so little, ding right on my passenger door. I was so upset! I wasn't upset with him, I was upset that someone just wasn't paying attention and didn't own up to what they did. Now it became MY responsibility to get it fixed.

If you have ever been in this situation, you know that these repairs can be surprisingly expensive. Crowfoot Hyundai has come up with a solution. They offer a service called the SmartProgram. The SmartProgram is designed to keep the appearance of your Hyundai looking like new! So, they repair door dings, alloy wheel damages, interior damages, and scratches, in order to keep your car, truck or SUV looking like it was the day you drove it off the lot. This service is pre-paid, so there are no little fees hiding at the end of the repair. And it's so simple to use! All you have to do is fill out a report, either online or over the phone, then schedule an appointment! I shouldn't have to be afraid to park my car and now, thanks to Crowfoot Hyundai, I don't have to be!

Fast without the furious!

If you are like me and crave a speedy little car without having to pay an arm and a leg, the 2013 Hyundai Veloster Hatchback may be the vehicle you are looking for! Only recently have I wanted a zippy little car, one that sounds loud, goes fast and sits so low to the road that I can't even go over a speed bump! The only problem I am facing is money. For all the things I want in a sports car, I can't really afford it, not with planning a wedding and purchasing a new house. But the Veloster seems to be a happy medium.

Crowfoot Hyundai offers affordable pricing on the very best makes and models, including the Veloster. With the money you save on purchasing this vehicle, you can even invest in a spoiler, if that's your style. Crowfoot Hyundai has an amazing list of accessories to make your Veloster yours! I have seen some Hyundai Velosters with some really nice body kit's on them, and some with a really nice turbo. The Hyundai Veloster can give you the feeling of driving a sports car, without the price of one. Equipped with safety features and tons of little gadgets, this vehicle can easily satisfy your need for a speedy little car.

Road trip!
Posted: December 09, 2013

In a little less than two weeks, I'll be embarking on a glorious road trip to Palm Springs! I'm so excited! The only part I'm not so excited about is the 26 hours it takes to get down there!! There are 5 of us driving down, 3 girls and 2 boys. That means lots of luggage and lots of meals! Ideally, we need to travel down in a vehicle like the 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport.

Let me explain why. My sister, my mother and I all pack a lot. We are prepared for any situation during every vacation! That being the case, all three of us have these massive suitcases. On top of that, my dad and my fiancée have suitcases as well. Then there are the things needed for such a long road trip, like pillows and blankets. All of these things take up space! There is more than enough space in this SUV. The Hyundai Santa Fe Sport has a spacious trunk and back seat with more than enough room to fit all of our luggage, and all of us comfortably. I have done a 10 hour road trip in a small car, and believe me, it isn't very fun. I was cramped and extremely uncomfortable. That's not a problem in this SUV. Everyone can feel comfortable in leather seats and have more than enough room to nap during the long 26 hours.

Driving around with 2 boys means feeding 2 very large appetites! Feeding 2 hungry men and paying for gas at an alarming rate can start to add up fast. Thankfully, the Hyundai Santa Fe Sport has great gas mileage. This SUV isn't a gas guzzler, which means that the only reason we'll need to find a gas station will be so we can grab some more snacks for the drive!

I really can't think of a more perfect vehicle that I would rather spend 26 hours in. For someone with back problems, spending that much time in a vehicle is hard to do. The Hyundai Santa Fe Sport makes the experience much easier.

What's not to love?
Posted: December 06, 2013

There is no better feeling than driving around in a fast car, with the roof down, the warm summer breeze blowing through your hair, and the sound of a big exhaust echoing through the streets. Unfortunately, living in Calgary, this only happens for a few short months. Before you know it, winter pops right back up again and here we are at -30, just waiting for summer to come back again. We don't want to be left without a vehicle when the snow falls. We need a daily driver to get us from A to B during the winter, or when the summer weather isn't so great. We need something that's a bit more reliable for all season driving.

Since we live in a country where we need a daily driver if we have a fun, speedy toy, the 2013 Hyundai Elantra seems like a good fit. This vehicle is a perfect mix of luxury, safety and fuel efficiency. This car is both reliable and affordable! There isn't any better combination that that! As much as I would love to use my little toy as a daily driver, it isn't possible living here. So aside from moving to Las Vegas, I need a daily driver! This sedan can easily fit my social and active lifestyle. I can take all my friends out, and even have enough room in the trunk for my snowboard. What's not to love about this vehicle? The answer is nothing!

Make it yours!

My car has personality, and that's exactly what I wanted. I wanted my car to be my car. I want to feel comfortable in my car. I've loaded my car with all sort of personal touches. Lots of dealerships offer personalized accessories for your vehicle, but Crowfoot Hyundai can help you find the right accessory that fits your Hyundai perfectly. From spoilers and touch-up pens, to remote starter's and cargo nets, Crowfoot Hyundai has everything to meet every type of personality.

My favorite accessory is the iPod cable. I don't mind listening to the radio, but I would prefer to listen to my own music. The music on my iPod consists of Eric Church, The Eagles, Bob Marley, The Backstreet Boys, Aerosmith, Don Omar, and much more. If you asked for a certain song in any genre, I probably have it. I like a little variety in my music so listening to one radio station doesn't really cut it. The iPod cable easily adapts to my vehicle and plays the music I want to hear. Finishing at a close second, the remote starter is a great accessory for me. I live in a country where -30 can happen anytime. Being able to start my car without leaving the comfort of my warm is wonderful! I can leave a warm building and enter a warm car, even when the wind-chill is beyond freezing outside. The backup sensor is ideal for busy parking lots, and I can easily add a spoiler for when I'm feeling fast and furious!

Finding the right accessory for your Hyundai is easy! All you have to do is choose your year, then your vehicle and you can easily get an accessory quote. You are unique and your vehicle should be to! After all, you want to be comfortable when you are stuck in traffic during rush hour right?

Stop! Thief!

A few years ago, my fiancée had his car stolen. Along with his vehicle, they had stolen his laptop, all of his school books and a very expensive sound system. Unfortunately, the police were not able to track down his car. My mom has had her car broken into. They broke her driver side door, went into her purse, took out all the cards from her wallet, left the wallet, grabbed the small change in the cup holder, and left. Since these two events, I've been terrified of having my car broken into or stolen. I lock my car three or four times, just to make sure. I never leave anything in my car, but if I do, I sacrifice my jacket to cover it. My car does have a security system on it, so I will know if someone breaks into it, like they broke into my mother's van, but what happens if they manage to take it? I don't want to be in the same situation as my fiancée.

There is a protection plan that Crowfoot Hyundai offers called the Platinum Security Protection plan.

What makes this plan different from other security systems is that my vehicle is traceable! So even if some low-life crook takes my new 2013 Hyundai Accent, there is a way to find it again. The plan consists of three major parts: a code, a decal and recovery. The identification code is etched on all of the major glass on my vehicle. This code is mine and mine alone. The warning decal serves as a warning light. If thieves see this code, they know the car is traceable and may back off. The theft recovery process involves recovering the stolen vehicle and helping me with any expenses that may have been stolen in the process. There is no monitoring fee, the alarm system can't be disabled, and I will receive up to $5,000 towards a replacement vehicle if for whatever reason mine cannot be recovered.

There are so many benefits to this program. As much as it is wreck less to leave my purse open on my passenger seat, it seems even more wreck less to not take advantage of this plan.

Perfect dog person SUV!
Posted: November 29, 2013

A few years ago, I would take my little bichon Shih Tzu to the local dog park. During the spring, he would get so dirty! He wasn't much of a "throw-the-ball-and-I'll-bring-it-back" kind of dog, he was more of a "sniffer". So although he wasn't rolling around in the mud puddles, he would chase after the bigger dogs that would. By the time he had worn himself out and it was time to go home, his white fur looked brown. I was always so reluctant to bring him into my little car to head home for a few reasons. The first reason was that I had cloth seats in my car! Do you know how hard it is to get mud out of a cloth interior? The second reason was the lack of space in my car. I didn't really have a place for him to sit, except for the back seat. Even though he was on the smaller side, the floor space in my old car was way too small for him, so dirty seats were inevitable.

When I take my new little Australian shepherd poodle mix to the park in my mom's minivan, it's a completely different situation. She loves to play in the mud, in the puddles, in the river and in the dirt. She gets really dirty, really fast. But she has much more floor space in my mom's van to move around. Even if she does end up on the seats, the interior is easy-to-clean leather. That got me thinking about my own dog that I would like someday. My fiancée and I want a big dog, which means, big messy paws. We need something with a leather interior and a big backseat!

The 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe XL SUV is just perfect. This luxurious SUV has enough room in the back for a Bernese mountain dog AND a German shepherd! The third row of seats in the Santa Fe folds down to create even more space. No matter how muddy they get, the Santa Fe's leather interior is an easy clean. Plus, Crowfoot Hyundai offers Platinum Shield Protection for leather and vinyl. This protection keeps my leather interior from cracking and hardening, and prevents the color from fading under the sun's harsh rays. Not only is the Santa Fe XL equipped with seven airbags and the option of a power liftgate, but this SUV has some giddy-up with 290hp at 6,4000 RPM. I can absolutely picture driving home from the dog park in one of these, with my big, dirty dog bouncing around in the back. I can also picture how dirty my car will be after every trip.

I want to go fast!
Posted: November 27, 2013

I have a confession to make. I like to drive fast. I love the sound of an engine revving and accelerating to high speeds. I would love to be able to head down to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway and fly down the track. If my mom had it her way, I would drive a tank, but I want something with a little more giddy-up. The 2013 Hyundai Genesis gives us the perfect compromise.

This zippy little car comes equipped with enough safety features to keep any safety-conscious person at ease. The Genesis comes complete with 4 wheel disc brakes, traction control, brake assist, anti-whiplash front head restraints, an occupant sensing airbag, an overhead airbag, and dual front and dual side airbags. That's a lot of safety all wrapped up in one package. The Hyundai Genesis 2.0T Coupe gets 274 hp at 6,000 RPM, just fast enough to satisfy my inner speed demon. This car offers so many convenience features as well, like illuminated entry and automatic temperature control. Great for urban and rural roads, the Genesis is spacious, luxurious and safe all in one.

If you're like me and the only thing holding you back from owning one of these cars is the price, you're in for a surprise. Crowfoot Hyundai has an extensive list of new and used cars, including a 2012 Hyundai Genesis.

New 2013 Hyundai Tucson vs. Used 2011 Hyundai Tucson
Posted: November 25, 2013

I love spending time with my family and friends, and exploring the great outdoors. I also have a bit of a soft spot for shopping, both big and small purchases. Bottom line: I need a lot of space in my daily driver. The Hyundai Tucson is ideal for all the space I need. The truck of the Tucson is spacious enough for my snowboard, camping gear, suitcase and groceries combined. This SUV is exactly what I need in my life.

Now, I need to think about a new or used Tucson. Crowfoot Hyundai has their "Season Of Savings" special going on right now, making it very easy for you to find the Hyundai of your dreams for a great price. However, I'm currently saving for a wedding, a home, and a car. I need to get the best bang for my buck. Buying a used 2011 Hyundai Tucson sounds like a better option for my financial situation. There is always a little more wiggle room on pricing when buying a used car, and used cars do not lose depreciation as soon as they leave the lot.

As much as I love that new car smell, and new cars have brand new condition to them, Crowfoot Hyundai makes sure that used cars go through a 150 point inspection, making absolute sure that the used Hyundai cars, trucks and SUVs are still suitable for safe driving. So I figure that if I buy a used 2011 Hyundai Tucson, I can save much more money than I originally intended. With all those savings, I can always buy a new car smell air freshener!

Customer Service goes a long way

I'm in the midst of looking for a new car. I love the car that I have now and it has served me well for the past few years, but it isn't mine. I've got plans to go to the bank, ask for a loan and go out and get my own car. My car is also pretty old and banged up. It has been in a few accidents before I owned it and my transmission bit the dust on me a few weeks ago. My car is only 4 years old, so when I took it to the dealership to figure out what was wrong and get a quote on repairs, I wasn't expecting any bad news. Surprise!! My car was only one year over the warranty, so I would be charged an extra grand! No exceptions, no helping me out. I got nothing from the service at my dealership.

I've been talking around to some friends and family and someone suggested Hyundai. I've been to Crowfoot Hyundai a few times and the staff has been nothing but kind and extremely knowledgeable. My dream daily driver would by a Santa Fe. Why? It fits my lifestyle perfectly, still makes me feel luxurious, and comes equipped with more airbags than most Honda's or Toyota's. Crowfoot Hyundai has all the details on their website here.

As much as I would love a Hyundai, I need to make sure that when I walk in there, I feel completely comfortable knowing that they will do anything and everything they possibly can for me. And that's exactly what they do now. Crowfoot Hyundai has won the Consumer Choice Award three times in a row since 2011, and for good reason. They make sure that each customer is leaving their lot, happy with their purchase of a Hyundai. Even in the instances where I have gone into Crowfoot Hyundai without the intention of buying a car, I was still treated like a human being. At Crowfoot Hyundai, they treat you like a person, not just a dollar sign.

I'm a big outdoorsy person. Winter is all about snowboarding, while my summer favorite is hiking and camping. The 2014 Santa Fe Sport is great for fitting my year-long needs. The all-wheel drive allows for travelling down rough terrain, and a spacious back seat is roomy enough for all my snowboarding gear. Does this sound like anyone you know?

Hyundai Elantra

Hyundai Elantra is an ideal example of how this market leading brand has evolved over the years and today it is standing at the forefront of the automotive industry. Elantra is not new but has definitely gone through some much needed improvements to emerge as one of the most stylish and popular cars today.

First launched during 1990s, Elantra failed to impress many, forget about making a lasting impression. However, come 2013 and this car is already ranking on the top, be it due to its amazing design, unmatched performance or appealing features.

One of the most significant features of Elantra is its distinctive styling. If you take a look at the prevailing sedan segment, Elantra definitely stands out owing to its sleek bodywork. Not only design, but Elantra is dominating the market with its performance and cost effectiveness as well. Its 1.8 liter engine assures credible performance, as well as fuel economy.

Talking about the interiors, Elantra has much to boast about, starting with its rick looking and impressive design theme. As soon as you adjust in the driver's seat, you will notice how easy it is to access the controls, as well as keep an eye on the surrounding traffic. Adjustable seats and plenty of other features have been incorporated to ensure a comfortable and safe ride. Also there is enough cargo space, as well as other storage options to hold your stuff.

Overall the new Hyundai Elantra is a perfect blend of functionality and form and an ideal choice for Calgary market, which is always seeking something new and innovative to enhance the driving experience of its consumers.
