Efficiency Never Looked so Good.

Veloster was designed to deliver an exciting drive with a higher level of efficiency - and it starts under the hood with the Gamma 1.6L 4-cylinder engine with Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI).The use of GDI technology allowed Hyundai engineers to create an engine that's powerful, fuel-efficient and with fewer emissions. The Veloster also boasts Hyundai's first EcoShift Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT). It takes the benefits of a manual transmission, low fuel consumption and peppy performance, and blends them with automatic transmission benefits, such as a comfortable ride and smooth shifts. It's the best of both worlds.

Bodyguard Included.

The Veloster delivers fun with an uncompromising level of safety. It was built with accident prevention and avoidance in mind with features like Vehicle Stability Management system, Electronic Stability Control, Traction Control System and an Anti-lock Braking System. It also comes with six airbags and 4 wheel disc brakes for maximum personal protection. Think of it as your personal bodyguard.

Airbag Protection All Around

Every Veloster is equipped with six airbags, including front airbags, front seat-mounted side-impact airbags, and roof-mounted side-curtain airbags for front and rear passengers. It's got you covered.

The Supplemental Restraint (Airbag) System (SRS)1 is designed to work with the 3-point seatbelt system. The SRS deploys in certain frontal and/or side-impact conditions where significant injury is likely. The SRS is not a substitute for seatbelts, which must still be worn at all times. Children under the age of 13 should be securely restrained in the rear seat. NEVER place a child-seat in the front seat of a Hyundai vehicle.

ABS Brakes with Electronic Brake-force Distribution

An Anti-lock Braking System helps to maintain vehicle steering control while braking and comes standard on all models. During abrupt and hard braking, the brakes are automatically applied and released several times per second to help prevent tires from slipping due to wheel locking. Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD) can apply more or less braking pressure to each wheel in order to help maximize stopping power while helping to maintain vehicle control.

Electronic Stability Control

Standard on all models is Electronic Stability Control (ESC) with Traction Control System (TCS), a cutting-edge driving stability system designed to sense over-steer and under-steer conditions2. During unexpected and dangerous situations, it adjusts the braking power of each wheel utilizing the Traction Control System to help restore the driver's course.

The Supplemental Restraint (Airbag) System (SRS) is designed to work with the three-point seatbelt system. The SRS deploys in certain frontal and/or side-impact conditions where significant injury is likely. The SRS is not a substitute for seatbelts, which should be worn at all times. Children under the age of 13 should be restrained securely in the rear seat. NEVER place a child seat in the front seat of a Hyundai vehicle.
Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and Traction Control System (TCS) are meant to enhance conscientious driving habits and are not a substitute for safe driving practices.
