The 2027 Hyundai Palisade covers that need with seating for up to eight, 2,455 L of maximum cargo space and HTRAC all-wheel drive on every trim. At the top of the range, the Ultimate Calligraphy and Ultimate Calligraphy Hybrid focus on comfort, with Nappa leather, ventilated second-row captain’s chairs, a head-up display and Highway Driving Assist II. New for 2027 is a Night Package for those two trims, adding black 21-inch wheels, black exterior trim and an all-black cabin. Below them sit the Preferred Trend, XRT Pro and Luxury Hybrid. What’s new on the 2027 Hyundai Palisade?
Exterior
The Calligraphy trims set themselves apart with an exclusive grille and front bumper and 21 x 8.5-inch alloy wheels on 265/45R21 all-season tires. With the 2027 Night Package, those wheels turn all-black, the bumpers and roof rails go black, and the Hyundai emblems switch to black as well. Three paint colours are paired with the package: Abyss Black, Creamy White and Ecotronic Grey. All Palisade trims share a squared-off, upright profile with projector LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, High Beam Assist and LED taillights.
In size, the Calligraphy trims measure 5,065 mm long, 1,980 mm wide and 1,805 mm tall on a 2,970 mm wheelbase. Overhead, the Calligraphy models use a dual-panel sunroof with a fixed rear panel, while other trims have a power tilt-and-slide sunroof. Raised roof rails carry up to 220 lb (100 kg) for bikes or a cargo box. Acoustically laminated glass in the windshield and front and rear windows is standard on every trim.
Interior
Calligraphy cabins add the most comfort. The Driver’s Ergo Motion Seat, Nappa leather, a microfibre suede headliner, ambient lighting and deluxe door scuff plates come standard. The front seats are heated and ventilated with memory for the driver, and the second-row captain’s chairs are heated and ventilated too. In the Night Package version, the Nappa seats are all-black and the trim accents are dark. Every trim shares two 12.3-inch screens across the dash, a wireless charging pad and seven USB-C ports, six of which support 100 W charging.
Mountain trips mean bags, coolers and boots. The Palisade has 540 L behind the third row, 1,310 L behind the second row and 2,455 L with both rear rows folded, plus an under-floor bin in the cargo area. The second row slides, and releases in the cargo area let you move it from the back. Calligraphy models seat seven with captain’s chairs, while the Preferred Trend and Luxury Hybrid seat eight. Third-row riders have their own vents and handles that help with getting in and out.

Powertrain
Both Calligraphy trims give you a choice. The Ultimate Calligraphy uses the 3.5 L V6, rated at 287 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque, with an 8-speed automatic and paddle shifters. The Ultimate Calligraphy Hybrid uses a 2.5 L turbocharged 4-cylinder hybrid making 329 hp and 339 lb-ft of torque, with a 6-speed hybrid automatic. Fuel ratings show the gap: 11.1 L/100 km combined for the V6 and 8.1 L/100 km combined for the hybrid. The hybrid’s highway rating is 7.9 L/100 km, compared with 9.7 for the V6.
The V6 also powers the Preferred Trend and XRT Pro, and the hybrid powers the Luxury Hybrid. All V6 models carry a braked towing rating of 5,000 lb (2,268 kg), and hybrids are rated at 4,000 lb (1,814 kg). HTRAC all-wheel drive is standard on every trim, with drive mode selection, multi-terrain control modes and auto-levelling rear suspension. The XRT Pro adds a rear electronic limited-slip differential, 18-inch all-terrain tires and 212 mm of ground clearance for gravel trailheads.
Technology
Every Palisade has Highway Driving Assist, and the Calligraphy trims step up to Highway Driving Assist II. Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist, side Parking Distance Warning and Remote Smart Parking Assist are also Calligraphy features. The Calligraphy cockpit also adds a projection head-up display and a built-in dual-channel dashcam event recorder. A full digital rear-view mirror with HomeLink and a 115-volt outlet are included.
Across the lineup, standard safety includes 10 airbags, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with car, pedestrian and cyclist detection, Lane Following Assist 2, Lane Keeping Assist, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist and Safe Exit Assist. For entertainment, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM, HD Radio and BlueLink are standard. BOSE premium audio with 14 speakers comes on every trim but the Preferred Trend. Rear Seat Quiet Mode and In-car intercom with Driver Talk help on long drives with a full cabin.

Five trims are offered for 2027. The Preferred Trend is the eight-seat V6 base model with leatherette, 20-inch wheels and a sunroof. The XRT Pro is the V6 trim for unpaved roads, with all-terrain tires, black styling, tow hooks and a rear e-LSD. The Luxury Hybrid adds the hybrid powertrain, leather, BOSE audio and Surround View Monitor, seating eight or seven.
